1. Platform overview
COPYRIGHTV (copyrightv.com) operates as a verified digital copyright registry.
The platform allows creators, rights holders, and authorized representatives to register original
digital works — including images, videos, and imported social media content — and receive a
permanent, publicly verifiable record of registration.
By accessing or using COPYRIGHTV, you agree to be bound by these terms. If you do not agree,
you must not use the platform. COPYRIGHTV reserves the right to modify these terms at any time;
continued use after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.
1.1 Scope of service
COPYRIGHTV provides:
Timestamped registration of digital works submitted by account holders
Issuance of unique certificate numbers and permanent public URLs (/p/…/)
Public verification tools to check whether content is registered on the platform
Instagram post import for public posts, subject to third-party platform availability
Certificate pages suitable for sharing as proof of registration
COPYRIGHTV is a registration and verification service. It does not replace formal
copyright registration with government authorities (such as the U.S. Copyright Office) where
applicable, nor does it constitute legal advice.
2. Copyright policy
All content registered on COPYRIGHTV is subject to applicable copyright laws, including but not
limited to the U.S. Copyright Act, the Berne Convention, EU Copyright Directive frameworks, and
equivalent national legislation in jurisdictions where users operate.
2.1 Original works only
Users may register only works they own or are legally authorized to register. By submitting
content, you represent and warrant that:
You are the original creator or lawful rights holder of the work
The work does not infringe any third party's copyright, trademark, privacy, or publicity rights
You have obtained all necessary permissions for any third-party elements included in the work
The registration does not violate any applicable law or platform terms of service
2.2 Moral rights
Where moral rights apply under local law, COPYRIGHTV acknowledges that registration does not
transfer moral rights. Attribution information provided at registration is stored as part of
the public record unless otherwise required by law.
2.3 Fair use and exceptions
Registration on COPYRIGHTV does not prevent others from asserting fair use, fair dealing, or
other statutory exceptions. COPYRIGHTV records establish a timestamp and ownership claim; they
do not adjudicate disputes between parties.
3. Ownership & intellectual property
Registered works remain the property of the registering user. COPYRIGHTV does not
claim ownership of user-submitted content. By registering a work, you grant COPYRIGHTV a limited,
non-exclusive, worldwide license to:
Store, display, and transmit the work on the platform and its public record pages
Generate thumbnails, watermarks, and metadata for verification purposes
Provide access to verification endpoints and certificate pages
Retain registration records for the lifetime of the permanent link
The COPYRIGHTV name, logo, platform design, and underlying software are the intellectual
property of COPYRIGHTV and may not be copied, modified, or used without written permission.
4. Registration process
4.1 Account requirements
Registration requires a valid user account. You are responsible for maintaining the
confidentiality of your credentials and for all activity under your account. You must provide
accurate information and notify COPYRIGHTV immediately of any unauthorized access.
4.2 Permanent links
Each verified work receives a permanent public URL in the format:

Permanent links are designed to remain accessible for the lifetime of the platform. COPYRIGHTV
commits to maintaining registered records unless removal is required by law, court order, or
valid rights-holder request.
4.3 Certificate numbers
Each registration is assigned a unique certificate number (e.g., CV-2026-…) that
appears on the public record and certificate page. Certificate numbers serve as reference
identifiers and may be cited in correspondence, licensing agreements, or dispute documentation.
4.4 Instagram import
When importing from Instagram, COPYRIGHTV retrieves publicly available metadata and media via
official or publicly accessible interfaces. Only posts you own or are authorized to register
may be imported. COPYRIGHTV is not affiliated with Meta Platforms, Inc. or Instagram.
5. Public verification
COPYRIGHTV provides a free public verification service at copyrightv.com/verify.
Any person may submit an Instagram post URL to determine whether that content has been registered
on the platform.
5.1 Verification results
Verified: The post matches a registered record. Details include owner, certificate number, and verified link.
Not registered: No matching record exists on COPYRIGHTV. This does not mean the content is unprotected under law.
Invalid: The submitted URL could not be parsed or verified.
Verification results reflect COPYRIGHTV's internal registry only. Absence from the registry
does not constitute proof that content is in the public domain or free to use.
6. Prohibited uses
The following activities are strictly prohibited on COPYRIGHTV:
Registering works you do not own or lack authorization to register
Unauthorized copying, downloading, scraping, or redistribution of registered media
Attempting to bypass watermarks, access controls, or technical protection measures
Using the platform for fraud, impersonation, or false ownership claims
Automated bulk registration or verification abuse without prior written consent
Reverse engineering, attacking, or disrupting platform infrastructure
Using verification or registry data for harassment, doxing, or unlawful surveillance
Violations may result in immediate account suspension, record removal, and referral to
appropriate legal authorities.
7. DMCA & content removal
COPYRIGHTV respects intellectual property rights and complies with applicable notice-and-takedown
procedures, including the Digital Millennium Copyright Act (DMCA) where applicable.
7.1 Filing a takedown notice
If you believe content on COPYRIGHTV infringes your copyright, submit a notice including:
Identification of the copyrighted work claimed to have been infringed
Identification of the infringing material and its location on COPYRIGHTV (URL or record ID)
Your contact information (name, address, email, phone)
A statement of good faith belief that use is not authorized
A statement, under penalty of perjury, that the information is accurate and you are authorized to act
Your physical or electronic signature
7.2 Counter-notification
Users whose content is removed may submit a counter-notification if they believe removal was
erroneous. COPYRIGHTV will process counter-notifications in accordance with applicable law.
7.3 Repeat infringers
COPYRIGHTV maintains a policy of terminating accounts of repeat infringers in appropriate circumstances.
8. Privacy & data handling
COPYRIGHTV collects and processes data necessary to operate the registry, including account
information, uploaded media, registration timestamps, and verification logs.
8.1 Public records
Registration creates a public record. Public record pages may display the work,
title, certificate number, registration date, username, and verified link. Do not register
content you wish to keep private.
8.2 Data retention
Registration records associated with permanent links are retained for the operational lifetime
of those links. Account data may be deleted upon request, subject to legal retention requirements.
8.3 Third parties
Instagram import may involve retrieval of data from Meta Platforms. COPYRIGHTV does not sell
user data to third parties.
9. Disclaimers
COPYRIGHTV is provided "as is" and "as available." We do not
guarantee uninterrupted service, error-free operation, or that registration will be recognized
in any specific legal proceeding.

Registration does not automatically confer legal rights beyond those granted by applicable law
Verification results are informational and not binding legal determinations
Third-party platform availability (e.g., Instagram) may affect import functionality
10. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, COPYRIGHTV and its operators shall not be liable for
any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from use of the
platform, including loss of profits, data, or goodwill.
Total liability for any claim shall not exceed the amount paid by you to COPYRIGHTV in the
twelve (12) months preceding the claim, or one hundred U.S. dollars (USD $100), whichever is greater.
11. Governing law & disputes
These terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with applicable international
copyright frameworks and the laws of the jurisdiction in which COPYRIGHTV operates, without
regard to conflict-of-law principles.
Disputes shall first be addressed through good-faith negotiation. If unresolved, disputes may
be submitted to binding arbitration or competent courts as required by applicable law.
